Kyle B Harris, Artist

Welcome to my website. Here's a little bit about me....

I studied visual arts and photography in high school and college in New England.

Our family always spent summers in Maine where artist flocked to the boardwalk and painted beach life.

This, I thought, was what I wanted to do someday!

After studying art in college,  my creativity led to a 22 year career in television production, in front of the camera and behind the scenes. Writing and producing local programs helped me find out about the needs of my community. In turn, I spent several years as a community activist working for children and women's issues.

My family moved to South Florida in 2003 where I was a stay at home mom watching too much HGTV. I painted my entire house and having the brush in my hand felt good. Eventually I made my way back into the world of art as head of the art department at The Arts Academy of Hollywood. While overseeing a small staff, I also taught children's art classes until they closed in 2009. After a night out at a painting party I realized someday had come. Commissioned paintings, room make-overs and photography led to the opening of Harris Art Studio in January 2012.

At Harris Art Studio, I teach drawing, painting, crafts and photography classes to children and adults; host monthly wine & paint parties, children's birthday parties, and create and sell original artwork

My art: paintings, drawings, glasses, etc are all for sale and most items are custom made by commission. Click on the links to the right to see my portforlio. Call the studio or Email me at kyle@harrisartstudio if you see something you like - or to commission artwork.

My philosophy is this:
“YOU are your own critic. If you ask me ‘do you like my art?’ my answer will be ‘do you like your art’. Because your art is an expression of your creativity and that’s all that matters.”
